While the buzz surrounding iOS 26, which was released to iPhone users last week and generated significant buzz with its Liquid Glass design language, continues, Apple has demonstrated that it is not slowing down its development process. The company has launched a new testing campaign by releasing iOS 26.1 Beta 1, the next interim update.
iOS 26.1 Beta 1 Will Fix Bugs
Officially released on September 15th, iOS 26 attracted attention with its visual improvements, while many third-party apps have already begun releasing updates to adopt this new “Liquid Glass” design. Apple’s rapid launch of iOS 26.1 aims to address minor bugs that typically appear after the main release and further improve system performance. Furthermore, iOS 26.1 Beta 1 adds a Turkish language option to Apple Intelligence.
On the technical side, the new beta version’s build number is 23B5044l. This number, being higher than the stable build numbers of iOS 26 released for the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro models (23A341 and 23A345, respectively), officially confirms the transition to a new development branch.
It’s not yet clear what concrete improvements are included in the iOS 26.1 beta, which is currently only available to registered developers. However, early betas typically focus on stability and bug fixes rather than major features. With the new beta versions to be released in the coming weeks, we will have a clearer picture of the potential new features Apple will offer users.
